OPTI together with the authorities of New Taipei City have installed the multicolor Solar Garden Lights in multiple locations, along the main roads and around the green spots of the crossroads. The Solar Garden Lights do not consume city power and fully rely on the built-in solar panels and batteries, charging during the day time and illuminating the pavement borders during the night. "Apart from giving the non-traditional Christmas mood illumination to the streets of our city and giving the city an innovative and environment-friendly look, the lights serve us many other very practical purposes, like blocking cars from parking on the pavements", said the New Taipei City leading planning manager Cheng Yulun.
